Melbourne Uni Comm to Engineering/IT Pathway?

Hey all, I am currently looking at doing a bachelor of commerce at melb uni next year with the intention of continuing on to do engineering or IT afterwards, but according to the melb uni website:
"From 2017 the Bachelor of Commerce will no longer offer pathways to Engineering and IT graduate courses."
Link: http://www.eng.unimelb.edu.au/study/bachelor-commerce

But then when I look at the 2017 melb uni commerce hand book on page 15 there is a whole page that says you can study engineering through the bachelor of commerce
Link: https://futurestudents.unimelb.edu.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0010/2054782/2017-Commerce-Course-Guide-Web.pdf

Now I am super confused, but I am leaning more towards doing IT rather than engineering so can anyone please confirm if it is possible to study undergrade commerce at melb uni then continue on to IT or Engineering?

Thanks in advance

Don't think you can do engineering through commerce any more.

They removed it because they're restructuring the commerce degree so now there's not enough room for the engineering breadth (or something like that) needed to gain entry to masters.

Your year was the first year they took it out, really unlucky :/

Okay thanks for the info :)

Kinda off topic but lets say I do the bachelor of commerce and want to do a diploma in informatics but have no prior knowledge in IT subjects, would I first choose IT subjects as my breadths and then if I like the subjects, I would continue and apply for the diploma? or otherwise if I don't enjoy it, I could just easily drop them? Or do u have to apply to do the diploma in informatics as soon as you begin your course?

Also with a diploma in informatics how employable would one be compared to someone with for example a master in IT?
