On the university website, they have a sample course plan that is colour coded with Bachelor subjects, diploma subjects and cross credited subjects.

If I'm studying the diploma in mathematical sciences as part of a Bachelor in music, can any of the subjects be cross credited? Does it count as being cross credited if you do it as the breadth requirement for the Bachelor?

Also, the university says you need to see stop 1 prior to applying. Is this actually necessary?

I didn't see Stop 1 before I applied for mine, you should be able to just apply for the diploma on my.unimelb.

You will be asked to submit a study plan for the rest of your degree that shows how you will complete your music degree and maths diploma. You will at least be able to cross credit maths diploma subjects as breadth subjects for your music degree.
