Hello all!
My name is Brandon Hu and I’m currently in my 2nd year of studying the Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery at Monash Uni.

INFO ABOUT ME

I graduated from Caulfield Grammar – Wheelers Hill Campus in 2015 with an ATAR of 99.70 and having achieved a raw score of 49 for biology in 2014. Biology has always remained my favourite subject and I am confident in the advice and tutelage that I will be able to provide to my students.
This will be my first year as a VCE Biology 3/4 tutor and I’m looking to help impart my extensive knowledge of the VCE biology course and study design content to a small number of current VCE biology 3/4 students to help them thrive in what can be considered a very content heavy subject.

MY APPROACH TO TUTORING

Even though I won’t be able to take on many students due to the time constraints the nature of my university course places upon me, I will always be in touch with my students (via email/text etc.) to provide studying tips or to clarify certain areas of content that may not appear intuitive at first. My tutoring style will adjust to the requirements of my students, with the aim of ultimately providing them with the ability to demonstrate a complete mastery over the course content through consistently scoring highly in tests and SACs.
Sets of notes covering each Area of Study in detail will be supplied as we cover them throughout the year.
Practice questions and past practise exam papers will also be supplied to my students as it is my belief that students not only need to know the content well, but also how to properly apply it when answering questions in a concise and eloquent fashion.

I will only work one-on-one with my students to maximise productivity.
This is as I would rather teach my students properly and watch them thrive instead of fleecing them of their money by placing them in a group setting where they might not have their concerns directly addressed.

LOCATION AND COST

I would be happy to provide my first tutoring session free of charge.
Following that tutoring will be $30/hr.
I am available to begin tutoring now, as time is precious when studying a 3/4 subject.
I will be able to tutor at Monash University – Clayton Campus, the Mount Waverley/Glen Waverley public libraries or at the State Library or the residences of my students if they are situated close to the aforementioned locations.
I will mainly be available on the weekends, however, depending on my course timetable, I would be willing to work out a time that is convenient for both you and I.
