Hey Lauren,

Not sure if this would be what you're after however off the top of my head I immediately thought of a "chapter" of Kahlil Gibran's The Prophet: On Self-Knowledge. Besides being absolutely beautiful to read poetically, Gibran infuses a lot of Christian philosophy and a bit of oriental/Lebanese influences so there's room to go in some cool directions in your analysis.

I'd be keen to hear other people's suggestions here! I think poetry is highly underrated as a related text choice!  😃
