Oops, I haven't updated in a while, but I've been busy!

Today:
- Finished writing the first draft of my literature essay
- Finished writing the second draft of my philosophy assessment
- Caught up on some notes from previous literature lectures
- Also had a philosophy lecture today

Tomorrow I'm planning to focus on my history and philosophy essays. :)

Actual uni journal:

I've got an exam tomorrow on the contemporary history of Venice - and I'm excited to study for this (will start shortly) because it's so interesting, but I'm bothered I need to study it within the bounds of what the exam wants because it's just so interesting.
Have two exams next week - Italian language and Italian culture.
It's getting to the crunch but the most difficult part is that I have no idea about what is expected in an Italian University exam. When I ask about marking criteria, or anything like that, they are so relaxed and say "just do your best" which is incredibly not helpful in any form. FUN. TIMES.

But, I drink lots of great Lavazza coffee from a vending machine at uni for 50c and its always delicious and always makes me happy.

How did your exam go? :)

How did your exam go? :)

Happy to report I feel super confident in it. Essay questions really went my way, there was 55 multiple choice questions and only about 3 was I completely unsure of. Results to be emailed any day now, they have a one-week exam turn over so very thankful for that turnover.

Not sure where else in the world this happens, although I'm fairly certain it's the same in the UK, but all subjects are marked out of 30, and a 31/30 is called an "A-star" which is like, above and beyond for the course. 30 seems like such a strange number. In saying this, my sister studies the IB instead of HSC and she gets a mark out of 7 for each subject at the end? :/

How did your lit review go in the end? I remember you mentioning it in the Monash thread a while ago

It was quite alright - once I actually worked out what I needed to do :P
Hopefully don't have to do one next semester. ahaha
Still unsure about how well I'll go - which is uncomforting given usually the assessment we normally have is quite easy to judge how well you went.
Although there was quite a few freebies -  lot of the rubric (~40%) was really about following instructions

Did a phone interview for a wall street trading firm... got absolutely demolished with mental math, probability and combinatorics questions. Not feeling too great, but I wasn't expecting much at all anyway.

Edit: I started tutoring English Language again today, after a 2 year hiatus. I'm glad I still remember the course material and still have the knack for it 🙂

Waiting for the initial turnitin report is up there with some of the most anxiety inducing things ever.
