As an interesting (and painful story), I started to outgrow YuGiOh by the end of primary school. I had amassed a collection of what was probably like 2500-3000 YuGiOh cards, most of them real, some of them rare, etc etc. I sold that massive case of cards to my little brother's best friend for $10. I was chatting to someone who still collects them a few weeks ago, goes to the conventions/competitions etc etc, and based on what I told him he reckoned I could have sold them for a couple of thousand dollars today
