John Monash makes their own, I believe pass is around  50-60 but most students stay above the 70 mark. Regarding the orientation test, I have no idea.
Are the averages just SAC averages or everything including test marks.

For Methods, every test is considered a SAC (might be some exceptions but I hardly believe it). The average is for all the assessed work students have done.

So for the methods test what topics should it be worth revising for. I don't want to revise every single topic because not all topics are prerequisites for methods 1/2. I heard mainly linear algebra and quadratics anything else apart from that?

- Completing the Square
- Factorising
- Expanding
- Linear Graphs
- Solving Linear Equations
- Quadratic Formula
- Graphing Parabolas
- Trigonometry Rules (Sine Rule, Cosine Rule, Sin/Cos/Tan)
- Area of Basic Shapes

If you've done year 10 maths, you should turn up in the test knowing everything. That's pretty much the primary stuff you have to know for the test.

I skipped year 10 maths and went straight to methods would there be anything that I would of missed. I heard students that completed methods in year 9 are allowed to do spesh 1/2 is that true?

Yeah that is true but you have to show proof that you've completed methods 1/2. If you have, you can sit for a test that lets you do methods 3/4 in year 10 (not too sure about spesh 1/2 but I believe you also can potentially). Two students did it two years back but they dropped out of the classes because there wasn't enough support for them to learn properly in the class so they just went back to normal methods 1/2.

Might have changed.

How do we show proof?

Isn't the methods test before the course selection interview?

No idea, I suggest asking the head of maths at info night regarding methods 3/4.

Oh yeah guys btw I got a 2nd round offer in JMSS so happy. Hey how did u guys do in NAPLAN this year? I did kinda crappy (bad in writing) how did u guys go, luckily jmss doesn't put a strong emphasis in english im relatively strong in maths and science but ~in english what about u guys?
I did pretty well overall. Writing was pretty easy for me since I didn't choose anything intangible like time (some people chose time, I don't know why AHAH).

NAPLAN's way too easy though -.-
They need to make it harder - the Australian curriculum isn't that good :\\

Oh well, at least NAPLAN is over and VCE is approaching
