What do you call a battered, deep-fried potato snack?
Potato cake
What general term do you use to refer to swimwear?
Bathers
What do you call the object that you might drink water from in a park or school?
Bubble tap
What do you call a barbecued sausage, served in a single slice of bread?
Usually just a sausage I guess? If I were to have a conversation it'd probably be along the lines of "do you wanna get a sausage from the sausage sizzle?" so yeah, a sausage
Which term do you use when someone’s nose is bleeding?
Blood nose or nose bleed
What do you call the place where you might buy lunch at school?
Canteen
Does the word ‘dance’ rhyme with ‘pants’, or ‘aunts’?
Pants
What do you call the small local shop that sells newspapers, lollies, drinks and basic groceries?
Corner store
What do you call a frozen, water-based sweet treat?
Which of these would you use to describe kissing someone?
- Get with? Uhhh probably not
- Hook up? Yeah I do use this but it's also a term that can have further connotations
- Kiss? Yeah but seems a little formal?
- Kissing? As above
- Mac on/mack on? Nope...is this something Americans say?
- Make out? Yeah this is the most common term I would use
- Pash? Seems a bit bogan/Kath and Kim to me
- Snog? As above
- Other?
What is your most common way of expressing laughter when chatting online, or in texts?
Depends how funny the thing is. Usually a laughing crying emoji and/or "haha", "hahah" or "hahaha". Or otherwise, lmao, lol, or maybe even a lel.
What is your preferred way of describing a thing or situation that is pretty good?
Depends who I'm with. Fully sick, awesome, grouse, bloody brilliant, or cool are some good ones to use

How would I describe kissing?
- Get with? This kind of means sex to me I think.
- Hook up? Yeah I'd say this, but my British friends think this means to go home with someone.
- Kiss? Definitely
- Mac on/mack on? Whatever this is I don't want part in it.
- Make out? Yeah, I think I'd say this
- Pash? Nope
- Snog? Reminds me of the film Angus Thongs and Perfect Snogging. So, nope.
French kiss - Like, I know what this is and would understand if someone said it to me, but I'd hardly use this myself.
