Wait wait, do I need to go buy a milkshake and some chips?

It's actually brilliant. Not a fruity shake, that doesn't work so much, but like a vanilla or caramel - Think salted caramel, that works, this works for the same reason I guess?

Yeah I'm kind of about it. The logic is this: the chips provide a saltiness that cuts through the sweetness of the shake and creates glory.

Same logic of putting popcorn on top of your choc top after you eat the chocolate off it. (Stole this from Katy Perry after an interview on Rove Live like 10 years ago).

I've never appreciated salted caramel - I like the bits where I don't get any salt hahahaha - a little sweet goes well with primarily savoury (tomato sauce or pineapple in most savoury foods, for instance), but never the other way round.

Why is everyone neglecting to talk about the texture of this blasphemy?

Like crispy, flaky Apple pie and creamy custard - I know, how great is it!

The real underappreciated combo is nutella toast with a chocolate milkshake. Now that's a match made in heaven.

But sure, I don't see a problem with mixing the two. There are worse combinations in life, after all.
