Yeah we did the insight one as a practice one over the holidays

Basically our teacher has given us a 'revision book' - containing notes etc.
about 50 extended response questions for each China and Russia
and about 20 broard essay topics, and about 10 for each rev on the new design

So i've just mainly been doing 1 or 2 extended responses every night and maybe an essay each week and my teacher corrects them

But she hasnt given us any documents/images to do so im going to have to ask her this week for some, as they are the ones i really suck on, especially for China were AOS1 is so broad

But i've pretty much narrowed it down to this so far:

Rev 1 (Russia)
Part 1 (Extended Response)
1. About Russo Japanese/1905/or events follwowing 1905 (Failure to reform etc.)
2. About lead up to Feb, or period of PG Rule

Part 2 (doc or image)
About civil War or war comm or kronstadt or nep

Rev 2 (China)
Part 1 (Doc or Image)
Imperialism/boxer rev/1911/long march/civil war/

Part 2 (Essay)
pretty easy general topics about new regime - violence/succesful/ideaolgies etc.

as you can see, i just cant get the doc/image narrowed down for China, its a bitch

^^^

Yeah for Russia AOS1 ive categorised it into:

-Pre-revolutionary tensions and crises (e.g. implications of the Edict of Emancipation and Witte reforms)
-Russo Japanese war and Bloody Sunday
-Failures to reform - October Manifesto
-Stolypin's oppression
-World War I
-Feb Rev
-Crises of dual authority between the Soviet and PG
-October Rev

Going alright now, still a few weeks to go.
Can do my Russian extended responses in around 10-12 minutes and average about 8-10 with my teacher.
Same for my Russian image/document, can do them in about 25 minutes and average about 17-20
China document/images fluctuate for me from 15's to 20's, i really gotta do a few more of them this weak and further work on my knowledge for those areas
And my essays for China, i've only done one since last week, but i plan to do one or two this week, i got a 17 for and it took me just over 30 minutes, so i was quite happy with that.

Hows everyone else going?

Adcock states that Louis rejected the August Decrees on 18 September 1789.

Cheers, that would kind of explain the tension between late September and the 5th of October when the King was coerced into accepting the decrees

nice work on the 80/80
my teacher last friday gave us the 2008 VCAA and told us two pretty much do two exams from it (the entire exam as russia and entire exam as china)
so basically i've done that and handed that in today.. however apart from that we havent been given any prac exams.
The only two i have done are the HTAV 2009 which we as a class did in the holidays under exam conditions and i got a 60/80
And we were given insight 2009 over the holidays to do in our own time and i got 67/80 for that.

However i think i've really improved over those and and looking forward to seeing what i got on the 2008 vcaa one

I don't know about anyone else but the amount of info is overwhelming me and I don't think I will be able to learn it all in 5 days!

So ..... how much of the old regime do you think we need to know?

I'm doing Russian Part A and France Part B

What should I focus on... I have left my revs revision til the last week which isnt good so any suggestions?

I hope I am not the only one stressing like this if so I pretty stupid! :'(
Subjects this year:
Literature, History Revolutions (-100), English, Indonesian SL and Psychology

By the way guys...
I've got 176/200 for my SACS (87/100 and 89/100) in a strong cohort as our teacher is vice chief examiner and she insists on marking us as tough as possible
Anyway, i wa wondering withe these sac marks if it were possible to achieve a 40+ score, and what kind of exam score /80 would be required to do so..? if anyone knows?

wow thats pretty impressive, chief examiner ey? wat school do u go to?

based on last years data ur sac marks do put u in the A+ plus range i think and with a strong cohort ur defo on track for 40 plus, a low A+ on the exam is around 63-65 (out of 80 not 160) based on the grade distributions ive seen

K, sweet
She's Vice Chief Examiner, Elizaebeth Morgan (you may even use some of her exercise books she writes)
I go to peninsula
Im aiming for a 60+; i'm just still so inconsistent though atm.
Currently im averaging 7-9 for my extended responses, im getting pretty good at them, they are probs my most consistent
For docos and images im about 16-18
But my essay marks are all over the place, like i can get a 17 sometimes with an essay written in 30 minutes, then do one in 40 and get a 14/15, so im just going to churn out the essays this weekend lol, and also try and still find some images/documents for china AOS1 because im just still struggling with the sheer vastness of it considering it is like 50 years of history to learn compared to the 12 of Russia AOS1
