File not accepted by Turnitin

Hi guys,

I have a take home exam essay due at 11:59 pm tonight and my word document somehow became corrupted (it won't open) and isn't getting accepted by Turnitin. I have contacted my tutor and am waiting for a reply but I'm really worried right now because I have no idea what I can do unless my document somehow recovers itself.

Has anyone experienced similar issues and can offer any advice?

Thank you.

Can you open the file in something like Notepad or a SUPER BASIC text editor, and extract your writing that way?

This has happened to me before. Convert it to a pdf and then upload maybe?

you can convert it online to a pdf (e.g freepdfconvert), it doesn't need to open to convert :)

If you open a word document, it usually gives you a list of 'recent' saves of various files on the left hand side. Maybe an earlier version of the assignment is saved there?
