I found the art questions so confusing :/ I'm usually alright at interpreting art but I guess having not done it formally for 2 years caught up to me because I spent so long just like staring at the paintings not even knowing what was going on let alone the emotions and stuff. Maths and science bits were fine though, does Psychology count as a humanities or science subject for VCE?? It's my only 3/4 this year so its all that really matters and I'm worried I messed up the humanities which could be bad

i think it's a science? seems to incorporate elements of both to some extent but i'd still call it a science tbh. i'm pretty sure vcaa also classify it as such. but either way, if you sit and smash your psych exam your gat score won't matter! it'll be all good (:

68 was def a. B seemed alright apart from the fact that nothing in the pictures actually supported it.

69 was c i think due the the arm posture not being very 'passive' but rather formidable

70 i think its c because d doesnt apply since one of the people in picture 1 is definitely working hard and is not disconnected. a and b dont really apply at all imo

68 i went with a, but when i came out i realised it said womEn, so multiple, so could've been the hardworking option :/

69 was 100% c i'll be super mad if it turns out to be anything else omg.

70 definitely wasn't d or a – i went with b because usually the same theme does not occur into options unless it is in some way the answer. also i had a minute left omg. but i could definitely see it being c!

seconded sarcasm. it was definitely satirical in some way – idk if exaggeration fit? but it could probably be either ugh. 'most correct answer' and all that jazz.

Anyone have the GAT suggested solutions?
I found it relatively easy, but had to rush the last 5 or so questions. I wrote 1 full page for each writing section (30 mins each exactly) but needed around 2 hours and maybe 10 minutes extra (didnt have) for the multiple choice. I feel i did good and am happy with how i went.

do we GET gat suggested solutions? i guess we could work through it on here, we've all got the questions? but otherwise i don't think they actually give them to us til heaps later :/

I'm not sure if GAT solutions are ever released. I've never seen them crop up on ATAR Notes (which surely they would), and I've never seen people work through them on this forum in the 5 years I've been here... Although - nothing stopping you!

(But there are probably much more study-score-benefiting activities you could be doing instead haha)

I dont think it was sarcasm because the baby was actually born. Sarcasm is when you say something that is most definitely not true (irony) to imply the opposite.

yeah honestly i feel like getting a voluntary root canal (or three) would be more preferable than working through the gat multiple choice again, but if that's what people want to do i'll hang around for some of the humanities ones haha.

i didn't think that either but apparently they exist? http://www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/Pages/vce/exams/gat/gatanswers16.aspx

(tfw when you procrastinate so hard you actually end up working lmao)

see, i agree with this but also, what else did you pick then? the options were all pretty awful tbh.

I agree.
I think 'exaggeration' was the best answer. People post about their lives online but obviously it was an exaggeration because a baby does not post online...

GAT Multiple Choice answers are released each year on the GAT exams page, which can be found here: http://www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/Pages/vce/exams/gat/gat.aspx (I included direct links to the past GAT MC solutions in the first post, here). Writing task solutions are not there for obvious reasons.
