Hi all,
Please excuse the Jaffy-ness of this question, but I was wondering what information Monash gives you in your end-of-semester results? I.e. Do you receive your exam mark and your final mark for each unit; or is the result given on results day purely your final mark for the unit? (If anyone has any screenshots or anything as an example that too would be awesome)!

Thanks :)

Just the overall mark for each unit. Once they are updated in WES, you'll see those results + your current GPA and WAM.

Edit: I'll upload what I got last semester for you to see. Gimme a sec.

Edit 2: Uploaded, excuse the terrible results for S2. I just realised I didn't get an email sent to me for the Summer Sem.

If you wanted your exam mark, just keep a log of your in-semester marks. Deduct them from your final mark and, wallah - there's your exam mark!

(Also a great way of predicting your final result in a unit, give or take, if you're halfway decent at guessing your exam mark).
✌️just do what makes you happy ✌️

Awesome, thanks Brenden!!

Also (one last question), around what time in the day do Monash generally email and/or text out the results? :)

It varies a bit. Have you signed up for getting your results by text?

Usually they come out the evening of the night before. From my experience, anywhere between 4pm and 6pm. :)

That's what I said every semester, right before I realised that 'oh, results are out today... I should have done the SMS!'

It was pretty unreliable, though. Sometimes I got my results on WES before the text came through. ???

Also, note that in most faculties you can review your exam afterwards. According to Monash Policy, Faculty procedures for review of student marks... Each faculty must have a specified procedure for review of student marks where a student complains of error in the assessment of their work.
e.g. law: https://www.monash.edu/law/current-students/resources/assessments/exam-feedback-procedure

While I've never done this, I imagine there'd be some indication of how you went. The only reason I bring this up is I've had units where marks have been ridiculous scaled up so even knowing my in-semester mark was no use and I've even had a unit where the exam was scaled down meaning even 100% on the exam didn't guarantee a HD :'(
