VTAC Application - Creating a VTAC account?

Hey everyone,

From my understanding, VTAC applications for courses for 2018 open on August 7th. When they do open, how do we select our courses?

The VTAC website says to create an account. Is this the same account I used last year when checking my 3/4 results in Year 11? Because I tried to log in with my ID and my PIN but it won't let me in. Am I doing something wrong? Or do I need to create another account for this year or something?

Thanks heaps  :) :)

Hey geminii :)

So I want to preface this by saying your school will most likely be running info sessions/tutorials on this sort of stuff closer to the date of applications opening, so I wouldn't stress too much. Even once preferences open, you have ages to do them, so definitely don't be worrying about it now :) If your school doesn't explicitly run sessions, I'd suggest sitting down with your careers advisor or maybe your year 12 coordinator when applications open if you want someone to walk you through all the processes :)

From what I remember of the process, you have to make a new account - it's not the stuff you used to access your results last year. You have to add in details about you and your studies, etc. and then once that's done, you can add preferences - it's simply a matter of searching a course in the search bar and adding it to your list! Overall, it's a reasonably uncomplicated process, and there's plenty of info on the VTAC website to help you out.

All the best! :)
