Perhaps a little early, but this thread will function as a space to muse about subject selection for Semester 2.

What are you thinking at the moment?

Definitely not too early! Allocate+ closes tomorrow so I'm frantically trying to find a fourth subject I want to take.

I'm in a bit of an awkward position where I've applied to VTAC for something, and I'm not really sure where I'm going to end up next semester.

At any rate, I have the following locked in:
ATS1248 Ancient Cultures 2
ATS1317 Renaissance Europe
ATS1321 Nations at war: Twentieth century

Considering something in Politics or IR at the moment, but I'm still not sure.

Haha, I can't even drink instant coffee anymore. I think I drank too much in the lead up to my Year 12 exams and now I despise the taste.

It is so much cheaper though so, out of curiosity, is there any that taste better than Blend 43?

Which one of them are you thinking about?

Do you have thoughts on what you will major in?

Obviously if you're considering majoring in Philosophy, TSM is a must but like... if they are just going to be electives either way... HR2 is probably a better unit that contributes to your overall education. If my whole degree was made up on one unit instead of 24 units, I'd take HR2 instead of TSM, if that's helpful at all

(But I'd take a Philosophy major before a HR major!!!!!!!)

(Added context, I majored in both Philo and in HR)

I'm currently drinking Home Brand instant coffee LOL, so - not really sure. I have different stuff at home, though, so I'll let you know what that is (because it's actually pretty decent). But I have my instant coffee black (do you?), so it's pretty much all the same to me. 😂

P.S. Re: elective, I'm going to recommend Philosophy. It annoys a little bit more every day that I majored in International Studies instead of Philo.
