"Our government (world government) values are allowing the Syrian conflict to become larger
By the side of an Austrian road, a lorry...
Inside 71 bodies.
71 innocent and helpless people. It looks like they came from Syria. Families. Children.
They may be people that escaped when just a few weeks ago 200 innocent men, women and children were kidnapped by ISIS
Maybe they came from camps where thousands are living in desert tents without running water, proper schooling or medical care.
Who knows how much they paid the traffickers who put them in the lorry, sealed the fridge door and drove off while they suffocated to death.
A truly terrible story. A story created from the dark abyss of despotism… Needs more imagery to make an impact.
And even more terrible because it isn’t unique…
The ancient war between individual freedom and collective obedience with its prime example the great world wars…has devolved from human discussion into carnivorous bloodshed… A war which has turned us human into murderers and beasts… a war which can only be stopped if we the futures(?) is that what you really wanted to say of society understand and stand against this sacrilege of democracy Its a nice statement but you haven't told us HOW that war has turned us, what values do we have that allowed this tragedy to occur?
The Syrian war… which had originally arisen from peaceful protests for a Syrian democratic government has disintegrated into a cauldron of competing political systems… from democratic equality to selfish autocracy… If there are competing systems what are they, autocracy is only one. Not sure if you would call it democratic equality beforehand either.
Our democratic governments… which advocate and preach freedom for all… have created the situation, we have been involuntarily forced to ingest… If we've created it, in what way is it involuntary, which governments, the Syrian government? The UN? Australia? Paraguay?
Our government… fearing an uproar have led us to blindly ignore our responsibility to protect our fellow humans… our responsibility to ensure the prosperity of our future generations… the responsibility to destroy the sadistic and selfish beliefs of certain individuals… or governments… like the Assad regime… Does our government have the responsibility of "destroying" sadists and selfish people? How much responsibility does our government have over interceding into other countries?
The veil of ignorance we have inherited from the uneducated beliefs of our weak government, have created a society that is unaware of the pain and suffering of the global citizens… How are we uneducated and ignorant? Expand
Who are deprived of their rights… The rights which we must restore because we are the free majority of the global society and we must condone the façade of freedom that is preached by certain governments… ... Do you mean 'condemn'? To condone is to accept,
which governments? You need to be more specific, the teacher doesn't want to have to read in-between the lines.
In the spring of 1939… when the nations who truly valued rights and freedom declared their opposition to tyranny and selfish dictatorship
Was the first time we, a global society, experienced the push for individual freedom of those disadvantaged by the political powers pushing for a unified society under the will of an almighty tyrant…
So why now…? Are we the free society, ignoring the cries of those whose lives have been ravaged by the grasp of war? Why are we submitting to the will to those who believe that certain groups of humans do not deserve to prosper…?
To me this sounds like a repeat of the horrendous World Wars…
Except this time only self-interested governments are involved only to increase their wealth…
This war within the European continent has escalated and can be classified as equally as abhorrent as German state during the Second World War
Correspondents from CNN and BBC have reported that due to the Syria conflict.
Only 10% of the Syrians have found refuge within neighbouring countries, although they themselves are currently struggling to balance the largest exodus since the second war…
Another 7 million human beings are currently displaced from their homes within the Syrian nation… 70% of those citizens are currently living without access to clean drinking water and 2 out of 3 constituent are unable to meet basic daily food requirements…
However… here we are… untouched by conflict… are gazing upon the ones who are suffering the worst of fates… unwilling to aid or provide assistance to those countries who are offering their resources to reducing the pain of those who have had to flee from the grasp of their sadistic and egomaniacal governments and rulers…
Now, I would like to everyone to imagine themselves… in the shoes of those Syrian refugees…
It's difficult isn’t it…
Imagining your life within the Syrian ruins… is not easy… its not easy because we have never experienced the pain of losing everything because some rich, good for nothing politician decided he could not give a rat’s ass about other people whose futures have completely been wiped off the face of the Earth. Remember that although this is an oral, it is still a formal presentation. So you cannot use abbreviations or colloquial language.
We cannot feel their pain because our government is continually ignoring the ones who are suffering… and now we must realise that their future is quite simply put…. Is in our hands… we the futures generations have the power to change their fates… if and only if we stand together… together against the sacrilege of our democratic and free way of life…."
What I want to see/know:
- What are the values
- How are they not only not helping, but making matters worse
- How you define the Syrian conflict
- Who exactly are the governments involved
I'm not really sure what you're saying beyond that "we" have "weak", "uneducated" governments who are purposefully but involuntarily ignoring the people of Syria and that is somehow related to the degradation of future generations and WWII. There is a lot going on, not much structure more than some okay symbolism. I'm also wondering if its a bit short, (I know mine was 10 minutes long and this is not a 10 minute speech) and not really addressing the point. I'll try to give you an example and you see how you feel about it?
Austrian countryside. Long windy road. On the side, there is a lorry lying on the ground. Its filled with 71 bodies, 71 innocent, helpless and dead bodies. Did they come from the group of 200 escapees fleeing the capture of Islamic State? Were they from a refugee camp where the best they can dream is of stagnant water, no medical care or education? Who knows what amounts of money they paid the traffickers to stow them in the lorry and drive whilst they slowly suffocated to death. A truly terrible story, one created from the darkness that currently plagues our world. It is even more tragic when you find out, that these stories are not unique nor rare.
Humanity fights an ancient war between liberty and conformity. Our recent conflicts escalating in the Great World Wars, where those who believed in freedom fought against tyranny. However, these wars have allowed society to turn its back on those most vulnerable, allowed us to ignore their cries for help through complicated bureaucracy and dismiss their pain through our apathy.
The Syrian conflict which rose originally from protests campaigning a democratic government has deteriorated into a mess of competing political factions and resistance groups.
Our own governing board, the United Nations, who advocate freedom for all people and are the supposed enforcers of the Charter for Human Rights, have forced a situation upon the rest of the globe.
Fearing an uproar, we have been led to blindly ignore our responsibility to protect our fellow man and our responsibility to ensure the prosperity of our future. We must fight against dictatorship and aim towards justice for all.
We have inherited a spirit of ignorance and apathy from our predecessors to create a society that no longer knows about the pain and suffering of our global brothers.
Our brothers who have been deprived of their basic human rights and we, the free societies must restore and condemn the façade of democracy preached by those tyrannous governments.
What are we to do now…? Are we the free society, ignoring the cries of those whose lives have been ravaged by the grasp of war? Why are we submitting to the will to those who believe that certain humans do not deserve to prosper…?
This crisis within Europe has escalated and now can be classified as matching the German state during the Third Reich.
Due to the Syria conflict, only 10% of the Syrians have found refuge within neighbouring countries, although they themselves are currently struggling to balance the largest exodus since the second world war. Another 7 million refugees are currently displaced from their homes within the Syria. And 70% of those citizens are currently living without access to clean drinking water and 2 out of 3 constituents are unable to meet basic daily food requirements…
And yet here we sit, untouched by the ravages of war. We look down upon those who are suffering at the hands of dictators and we are unwilling to provide the assistance they need to alleviate their pain, let alone survive.
Can you imagine yourself as a Syrian refugee? Running from camp to camp, seeking shelter where you can, starving for days at a time, no clean water or doctors nearby? I do not think you can. It is impossible for us as we have never had to feel the pain and horror of losing everything due to the power-ridden deciding that we were not worth it.
We need to take our future in our own hands and take back the power we did not know we had given to the bureaucrats. If we reject the apathy of generations before us and stand against the desecration of our souls as humanity, then we can expand our free way of life to all our brothers and sisters.
