Best English Essay Scaffold

My teacher (for both English Advanced and English Extension 1) always goes on about how beneficial having a foolproof essay scaffold is. The problem is, she's never given us any type of scaffold, instead just saying that we need to find what works for us instead of her giving it to the class right away! I understand where she's coming from, but it's frustrating when I can't find any online that actually seem helpful!

If you guys have a scaffold that you swear by please please leave it below! My friends and I are trying to find one that works before Year 12 starts!

From Emily's lecture there's 3 types of essays (from best to worst):

- Integrated: both texts in one paragraph. Starts with broad topic sentence then quote from text 1, text 2, text 1, text 2, linking sentence. This would go on for 3 body paragraphs, hence covering more content.

- Semi-integrated: Start with broad topic sentence then do a paragraph on first text. Indent the next line and do paragraph on second text.

- Separate: Just paragraphs 1 after the other, no integation so it shows less sophistication and is less concise. However, if wanting to transition to integrated, go to semi first and hand in work to get feedback as integrated is hard.
