Hi,

I'm struggling to write a paragraph on Judith Wright's "South of my Days", where I need to answer a question of Judith Wright's connection with the landscape. My topic sentence is:

Judith Wright’s, South of My Days, demonstrates the conflict between her dual identities that were forged by two different landscapes.

Is this a valid topic sentence or should I change it?

TOTALLY VALID, considering you're writing about Wright. Always keep in the back of your mind 'I see in me/the double tree'. Though from another poem, it is nonetheless a theme that threads her oeuvre together. Duality, and the tension between a pure, innocent landscape and an Australian identity tarnished by colonialism is a hallmark of Wright's poetry.
