Ok, as unit 3 finished, my teacher gave us our scores. I got 93/100 for unit 3 which puts me at around rank 7. I know rank 1 got 97/100, rank 2 and rank 3 is on 96/100,and rank 4/5/6 are on 94/100. Is there any hope of me getting to rank 1 after unit 4 as I read if this continues and i smash the exam, i will end up getting rank 7's exam score instead (read from forums and watched learnmate australia's study score system video). I've worked really hard and finished the course and done around 15 exams (taking a break for now). Please lemme know if I can still get above 45 and if any who has done accounting has been in this situation. Thank you for the support

Can definitely still get 45+. The slate is wiped clean for Unit 4, so you'll have as much chance as anyone at pulling Rank 1, and of course then the exam is up to you. If you pull Rank 1 for Unit 4 and ace the exam, I'm confident you can pull 45+. The rank 7 shouldn't impact you too negatively - it might even be a good thing depending on your cohort!

So if I manage to get rank 1 for unit 4 but don't beat the rank 1 for unit 3 by as much (lets say I bet him by 2), does that mean i won't be rank 1 for the cohort? My head getting fuzzy from thinking about this

Unit 3 and Unit 4 are considered completely independently . You'll never be more than rank 7 for Unit 3, but you would be Rank 1 for Unit 4 so long as you were half a mark or more ahead of the next best person

In bio last year I think I was around rank 8/60 for SACs and I ended up getting a 45, which was the best SS in the cohort. You can easily get 45+ at this point as the exam is what really counts and you still have an opportunity to do well in Unit 4 SACs.

So what was your sac average btw for both unit 3 and 4? Well done on getting that 45 ss.

I think it was around 80% but that's not very relevant since ranking is all that matters as VCAA know each school has SACs of different difficulty.
