I am after some help/guidance for Hamlet! I completely forgot about the play so l watched a video and basically remember and understand the play now. However, l am struggling and confused how l can now study for it for the HSC? Do l look at themes? Main ideas? How am l meant to know which quotes to remember or what to themes to talk about if l don't know what exactly they are going to ask? Also do you know any areas or ideas or themes l should be concentrating on?

Thanks xxx

Hey Molly! Welcome to the forums ;D

I didn't study Hamlet, but I think the best way to get a feel for the information you need is to look at essays/notes from other students! You can see what they've focused on and do the same yourself ;D

I'm in a simular situation to you so I probs can't help too much but what I do know is that the Elizabethan context, the textual form and dramatic techniques are important to understand. Our school has recommended to us that we pick 3 or 4 key scenes, analyse them in depth and make notes on the play that way, so maybe you could do that?
HSC 2017: Advanced English [85] General Maths [92] Biology [96] Geography [92] Drama [86]

2018: Bachelor of Arts and Advanced Studies at University of Sydney

-- need a tutor for any of the subjects listed above?? I reckon I'm the girl! Just message me on ATAR notes or here--
