subject restrictions

hello people!
i am thinking of doing these subjects for next year (yr 11):

1. Lit 3/4
2. Eng 1/2
3. Methods 1/2
4. Chem 1/2
5. Psych 1/2
6. HHD 1/2
7. French (VSL) 1/2
and then continuing the 3/4s for each in year 12. that would mean that by at the end of year 12, i will have completed 7 subjects in total.
i had a look at the vtac website and the wording regarding which subjects can contribute to the primary four and the atar is a bit unclear.
provided that they are my highest scores, will only two of eng/lit/methods/french be in my top four? will that mean that only 3 of them at most will count towards my atar and that one will not be counted? clarification will be greatly appreciated.

In each of the study areas of English, mathematics, history, contemporary Australian studies, information technology, languages and music:
at most two results can contribute to the primary four
at most three results can contribute to the ATAR, be they VCE results, Higher Education study results, or VET results.
This means only 2 of the English subjects can count towards the top 4 (ie if you do all 3, only 2 can be top 4)
Only 2 of the maths subjects can count towards the top 4 (same as English)

Basically, your subject selection is fine and your best subjects will be in your top 4 (your best English subject has to be top 4 anyway though). So don't worry!
Completed VCE 2016
2015: Biology
2016: Methods | Physics | Chemistry | Specialist Maths | Literature
ATAR : 97.90
2017: BSci (Maths and Engineering) at MelbUni
