Cross-marking and stuff

Hi, sorry if this has been asked heaps before, but I was just wondering what happens if the person ranked above me completely bombs out. Right now I'm ranked 3 in englang which I was pretty content with because I assumed those ranked above rightfully earned their spot. But I've recently had a look at the other class' work and it seems like they're marked a lot easier than my class. The teachers don't cross mark and I don't know how I should approach this? I don't want to seem rude, telling my teachers how they should do their jobs and all, but I'm worried that rank 2, who is from the other class, won't be able to get an A+ on the exam and thus set a low threshold on my unit 3 score. Rank 1 is from my class btw and I'm really sure she can pull an A+ if that counts. Thank you atarnotes :)

I think anyone school with multiple teachers for a subject should definitely cross mark, that definitely happened at my school. Even for methods where the answers are sometimes thought to be black and white.

How do you know they don't cross mark? If you know for sure definitely ask your teacher kindly that your ranking may not be reflective of how you have performed. This is a pretty serious issue imo could hurt your SS anywhere between 2-8.  :-\

Also keep in mind some people are just great at acing sacs but never the exam (seen this before heaps of times). So if they actually did well in the sacs and aren't projected to do well in the exam they still deserve the high rank for the sacs. Sacs and the exam are two completely different assesments.

Teachers have to crossmark if there are two or more teachers teaching the same subject at the same year level. This is VCAA policy.

I'd raise it if you think they aren't.. even if it is to get assurance that they are.

http://www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/Documents/vce/adminproceduresvceassess.pdf page 5 (8 of the PDF). I know it's from 2016 but it's still relevant.
