What do you do when you're bored?

For the past hour I've been trying to do things to keep me away from boredom. In the past I would've just browsed the internet but I thought today was special and dedicated my hour to activities outside the net. I've tried drawing, jumping listlessly on a spot by the window to scare the neighbours, skipping around my hallway, listening to depressing music, eating chocolate and playing the piano. And nothing has worked. Personally, I don't think I can have fun by myself lol, which leads me to the question above: what do you do when you're bored? Or just sane enough so that you can get on with your day?

Go on AN lol. I spend a ridiculous amount of time on here. And Facebook.

If I'm in the mood, I'll do a puzzle. Otherwise, snacking is a good option too haha

as someone who gets bored very easily, and is a huge procrastinator, it's hard to find things to do. i'm meant to be doing a creative writing piece, but because i can't find inspiration, and i hate english, i'm watching suits (10/10 would recommend this show, it's great)

I tend to go on the internet a lot (AN, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube), listen to music or eat food

• Write a creative piece
• Write a poem
• Do journal writing
• Read a book
• Write a review of a book
• Watch a movie
• Write a review of a movie
• Learn a new language
• Improving and learning new techniques for a board game
• Playing a video game (and not those mainstream, multi-player games, maybe something indie or obscure)
• Learn how to photo-shop
• Learn how to video-edit
• Learn a new coding language
• Learn morse code
• Learn sign language
• Learn how to build a PC
• Learn pen-spin tricks
• Learn how to pen-tap
• Learn about famous people, villians, etc.
• Learn a new recipe
• Exercise
• Learn origami
• Draw something
• Paint something
• Learn to dance
• Learn to sing
• Learn to rap
• Learn an instrument
• Think of cool invention ideas
• Organise your bookshelf
• Clean up your room

if i am bored with energy - i clean my room and start organising things to do and plan
if i am bored with no energy - i just roll around my bed and browse youtube. maybe play some games if i have anything worth playing but for some reason when im bored i also don't want to play games anymore which is why i havent bought any for years. if i am really bored i will often go out and do something - even if its 3am i will just go to the kebab shop

Depending on how depressed I am, these work to some extent or another:

- reading or listening to an audiobook; often colour/play a phone game/do a puzzle while listening to audiobooks.

- AN

- doing a puzzle

- designing and making a card and writing to someone

- brainstorming ideas about anything and everything

- listen to ted talks

- yoga

- questioning everything and falling into a deep existential crisis (you might not be happy doing this, but you're most definitely not bored )
