i mean there is quite a lot more to it but i'll tell probably my favourite story. So my friends and I (about 5 of us) stayed in a free house in the Blue Mountains for schoolies (originally were going to go to Airlie Beach, but our Airbnb fell through last minute so we had to improvise). It was about the forth night of our stay, and we still hadn't gone for a hike and my friend and I were hella annoyed cos we wanted to hike. So night went along as you'd probably expect a night would at schoolies. It's about 1am, and my friend and I are having a riveting drunk D and M, when she suggests that we go hiking right that minute, because the house we were staying in borders a massive wood. Now this wasn't a wood with designated trials or hiking locations. It's just a wood.

I agree to go on this hike with my friend in the woods at 1am. What could go wrong? Our friends were party poopers when we suggested going on a hike earlier, so we decided that they did not deserve to come on our hiking adventure. We put on our shoes and jacket then walk to the front door. We were literally about to close the door, and go off on our potentially life changing journey,  when one of our other friends spots us and asks where we were going.

He didn't let us go on the hike >:(

(however this situation was a massive hint to our friends about how committed we were to the idea of going on a hike so we went the next day. Accidentally went on the "advanced" trail rather than the beginners, with a girl who has severe asthma (she forgot her asthma puffer and water bottle), really bad knees and is allergic to certain leaves (one of which was in that wood cos she started to develop a rash) - probably the most stressful time of my life.
