yeah :( but he's at uni now, and he's doing really good. I guess it goes to show that just because you 'don't get in' to the school you want, doesn't mean you won't be unsuccessful in life. The truth is, whatever you get as your atar is not the result of what school you go to, but how hard you work :) life can be really unfair sometimes though, hahah

I got:
Verbal Reasoning: Superior
Numerical Reasoning: High Average
Mathematics: Superior (I’m honestly so surprised I got a superior in math. I had no idea what I was doing and  guessed so much questions.)
Persuasive: Average
Creative: High Average
Reading Comprehension: Superior

Did you get in?

Apologies for the late relpy ;D Unfortanley, I didn't get into my first preference; however, I did get into to Nossal and had to decline as it is too far for me to travel. We shouldn't all give up because of one set back though

Mathematics: Above Average
Reading Comprehension: Superior
Verbal Reasoning: Superior
Creative Writing: Superior
Persuasive: Above Average

How did everyone else go?

You made it this far, you will do well at MHS, don't worry; just focus on yourself.

I got 2 sups (math topics), 2 above avg (english topics) and 2 high avg (writing topics). I thought I did really good on my writing but I guess it was crap XD

What confused me was my friend got into MHS with 1 superior? I thought it was a minimum of like 4 sups to get in.

What I think they do is select people from all sorts of schools, so then the pupils of the selective school won't all come from the same place

yes, that happens a lot. Because for year 9 entry, selevtive schools have this 5% rule, which means they only select 5% students (who tried out) from one school. It largely depends on how your schoolmates performed, if they performed terribly you are likely to get in with only 1 superior. However, if others performed extremely well, you might not get selected even with three or four superiors. So that's why many students try out for year 10 entry because it isn't restricted by the 5%rule.
