School Captain Interview Questions

Hi all,

I am in Year 11 this year and I have a school captain interview in the coming days. What could be some questions that they may ask and if so, what would be the best replies?
The interview goes for 20 minutes and I go to a Catholic school (idk if that helps but just thought I should mention it in case they ask anything about being at a Catholic school?)

Thank you  :)

I think any response ideas that come from us wouldn't be genuine! You need to answer in your way and true to your personality ;D

That said, surely they'll press you on why you want the role, what makes you well equipped for the role, and what you could contribute should you assume the role. Have a think about all of those things, and try to be able to answer them in a way that is proud/confident, but without being too conceited! It's hard to talk yourself up, I know, but a skill that will serve you well for job interviews and similar things in the future! ;D

Congrats on the interview! :) How are you feeling for it?

IMO you should be prepared to talk about how you could contribute to the school in specific ways. Anybody can say, "I'll lead by example" etc., but (again IMO) the most impressive ones would have something to talk about up their sleeve.

I perhaps went a little over the top hahaha. I took in a folder with a one-page print-out to give to all of the interviewers, which outlined what I envisioned and how I'd go about it. If nothing else, it helped me speak freely because it took some of the attention away from me, and I essentially had notes haha.

I don't know if it worked as such, but it's an idea. :)

Good luck - let us know how you get on! :D
