Victorian slightly confused by the various offer rounds…

As a non-year 12 student, when can I expect an offer? :)

No idea how being a non-Year 12 applicant affects things, but in general, most offers go out in December! Assuming you haven’t applied for early entry anywhere, I’d guess you will be in the same boat!

Nope, the early bird fees close next Friday (28th of September) and I think it's a lot cheaper ($70). However, you can put an application in anytime up to the 8th of February (but it costs $200!).

Some of the key dates are here

Hope this helps :D

Hey!

Does anyone know what time during the year the results for the UNSW applications get released?

Is it usually after the HSC results come out?

For most people UNSW releases their offers with the other unis, which yep, is that first round after ATAR release

Oh, sorry I made a typo!

I meant to say the results from scholarship applications, do they get released after HSC results?  :)

Right! Depends on the scholarship - Coop, for example, tells you a week or two prior. Some find out after. Which ones are you thinking? :)

What if you get called up for a Coop interview but you don't get the 96 ATAR? Does that mean you won't get the Coop scholarship?

I applied for the UNSW All Rounder and the UNSW Business School Merit scholarships!

Oh and also like the AAA ones and the Scientia (even though I probably won't get these lol) but I do know these ones are based on your ATAR so they definitely come out after the HSC results are released. Just not sure about the 2 above! :)

Correct, you get told you “have it” before ATAR and it then depends on you meeting that cut-off

Not sure about Business one, but I _think_ All Rounder comes later on with AAA and such because they need to know you are attending UNSW? Could be wrong, happy to be corrected

Hi...

I have received two offers from UAC and have already accepted and deferred the first. What will happen to my first offer if I accept this second offer?

They are both from the same university, and I kind of wanted to keep the second one as back-up. However, I don't want to risk losing the first offer if that is what happens when I accept the second one. I'm not talking about enrolling in the second course, just purely accepting the offer before it lapses on UAC.

Any thoughts on this?

Hey! The answer probably does depend on the uni so don't hold me to this, but my wager is that you can accept the second offer and that is totally fine provided you don't enrol ;D

Why do you need to keep both? Is it because you aren't sure which you want yet? :)

Yeah, basically haven't decided yet. I have accepted the second one, so far, so good.  :)
Thanks Jamon!
