None of them.

What is the definition of "easy"? What may be easy for one may not be easy for another. Choose subjects based on your interests and try to align them with what you intend on doing after finishing Year 12 (in some way). A lot of people make the mistake of choosing subjects purely for difficulty/scaling reasons rather than interests and strengths, and this often is a negative influence on your ATAR rather than a positive one.

Hi guys!

Which VCE subject is the easiest?
If there are "hard" subjects, surely there are "easy" subjects.

DIfficulty is all relative however the general consensus (from people at very different levels) is that easiest content wise would be further since most people have already learnt that content from years 7-9 however if you are allergic to maths it wouldn't be a good choice. This is content wise but in terms of scoring it isn't that easy since 45+ is super competitive but if you want 35-45 is really possible for any dedicated student.

I think further is the one "easy" subject that doesn't get killed by scaling.

For me, further maths, as I do both methods and further and methods is a hell of a lot harder than further

If you're good at maths further is pretty bludgy.

Also physics, it's relatively easy to score a 40+. VCE physics is rote-learning some theory and reading off the formula sheet. If you can handle methods you can blast through physics easily.

I think 'easy' is a bit subjective (pun intended). Ultimately, what one person finds easy may be what another finds difficult and vice versa. This is going to sound super cliché, but as someone in year 12 myself this is what I've figured out over these past two or so years. The easiest subjects are the ones you enjoy the most. Sure, that being said someone who enjoys maths is bound to find further 'easier' than specialist and whatnot. However, what I have found is that enjoying a subject and finding it interesting makes it so much more easier to study. Enjoying a class makes it much more easier for you to engage in class, understand and learn the content, and it even makes it easier for you to get motivated to study or do homework (believe it or not). This probably isn't the answer you were looking for, but as someone who has 'been there, done that' when picking subjects I'd definitely like to emphasise picking the subjects you enjoy/are stronger at as you'll most likely find them to be the 'easiest'! :)

Scaling removes the ability for one subject to be easier than the other. Every VCE subject out there has questions or marking schemes to separate good students from less able students. Thus, even the easiest subjects can be hard to score well in, especially after scaling.

Would you say that physics is easier than methods?

By 'easy' I mean smaller workload.
So which subjects have a lighter workload??

I would, definitely...
In relation to the OP, tho, I would say that Physics and Economics are turning out to be fairly light workload for me, but that could be because of the cool teachers. :D
