On piano, I used to do classical stuffs - but I've moved onto doing more contemporary repertoire; will be doing AMEB Gr. 6 this year (as much as I hate them)

With voice, I usually do classical voice, some jazz and music theatre. It's my Gr. 0 thing, but I'm best at it anyway :P (again, </3 AMEB)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hEnfZjqMSy0 >>>  La Campanella

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6A-JYbu1Os >>> Flight of the Bumblebee (OH and if you decide this song is better because the pianist is really cute, I will find you and hurt you) =P

Personally I enjoyed this pianist's version of la campanella better than the one up there:

I believe life is constantly testing us for our level of commitment and life's greatest rewards are reserved for those who show a never-ending commitment to act until they achieve. This level of resolve can move mountains, but it must be constant and consistent. As simplistic as this may sound, this is still the common denominator that separates those who live their dreams to those who live in regret.

La Campanella, but I it's way way harder. You've got to be a top notch pianist to play it decently, since any mistakes really stick out.

Hmm I'd have to go with la campanella .... it's such a beautiful piece! And difficult :( I'll attempt it again someday when I have the patience to actually work on it. Right now I have that horrible habit of just playing through the piece a couple of times and calling it practice. Probably why I suck lol :D

Personally I think this has to be by far the best interpretation of La Campanella I've seen  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IaX1j4elJRU

In my opinion this interpretation is too "bouncy" it sounds more like a march... I also believe the way the other two play it are more smooth and makes the piece feel connected and at one(less of staccato)

Damn straight. (Lisitsa :P) And she's back looking like it's in fast-forward motion again

Although, I prefer La Campenalla to be that bouncy and staccato. I think Lisitsa achieves more of a scherzando feel over the others

Yep I can play it, I learnt it yesterday :P ... it's not THAT bad, just a lot of arpeggios ... Beethoven can only get so difficult technically :)

If you want a hard piece:

The few times I performed that piece I had to put it at the end of my program cos my arms were so dead I couldn't play for about 30 mins afterwards x.x
