I'm finding it difficult to find specific recent changes that enhance the operation of the legal system when it comes to costs and delays. I've got the 2013 expansion of the Koori Court for difficulties faced by Aboriginal people but would like a couple more!
Any help is greatly appreciated,
Thanks.

Hi!

Here is a great article published by the ABC. It concerns young, repeated offenders who are now directed to adult courts. Perhaps this could be linked to timely resolution (in the sense that, with harsher penalties, offenders are less likely to repeat and thus take up space in the legal system)
Take a read here: http://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-05-24/youth-offenders-to-face-trials-in-adult-courts/8553860

Here is another relating to the bail system. This can be linked to the Burke street mall crash. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-05-08/victoria-set-to-tighten-bail-justice-system-after-review/8505506

Hope this helps you out :)

Hey there, I guess you can use increased funding for Victorian Legal Aid:

Finding ones relating to costs is quite difficult.

Also another recent change that relates to reducing delays are increased uses of electronics, which are generally used to transfer documents online instead of scheduling meetings or exchanging them in person.
