Unit 2 Function Question

i was did a couple of questions like this and then i got to this one and i wasn't sure what to do it seems pretty simple but i can't seem to do it !

Let f:[-2, 1]--> R, f(x)=x^3+2x+6. Find the maximum and minimum value of the function for this domain.

oh thanks! so would i write the answer for max value as 9 -- which is f(1), or do i write it as (1,9)?
