That's what i got aswell :)

Man, that trig question just never clicked for me, lost 3 marks already...but everything else was pretty easy

I'm not happy with it at all :( I stuffed the second question on the paper, I've already lost a minimum of 4 if those suggested answers are right, I hate myself

What mark would you need on exam 1 to get a study score of 25?

Can anyone explain the range of f h(x ) being 2 to infinity

Inside of the root function: x^2 +4, minimum of the inside becomes 4, so that the minimum of the overall function is root 4 or 2, and the range is 2 to infinity

Same hahaha, except it wasn't accidental, why do we exclude zero :(

I made this mistake as well, but if p were 0, then the conditional probabilities we were given wouldn't have been possible

Just wondering, we don’t include 0 for p cause or else A given B and B given A is zero right cause it’ll be mutually exclusive. A bit worried about this, cause I didn’t include 0.

pretty sure you don't include 0 for that exact reason, yeh (I lost a second mark cause of this :(. Also I dont know how to close these parentheses with an emoticon at the end, xkcd was right)

For Question 5, was the probability conditional? In the last question, is it given Jac got it wrong the first time, what is the probability he gets it on the second or third? I didn't do that, but a few people have said so

No, it doesnt state he failed the first attempt, it just asked whats the possibility of him getting it on the second of third time

Yeah I got 40+ with an A on exam 1 (not sure what the cutoffs were last year, but it would be around 32 or less I think) and A+ in exam 2
