I'm really excited to go to uni next year, particularly for physiotherapy or osteopathy, but I'll miss my favourite subjects like revs and maths. Tried asking around if it was possible to do a main course like physio, and a minor one like history, but the people I asked only gave me answers like "its one or the other." Can someone please give me some insight?
Haha yep, I'm doing physio and I miss doing revs! I don't get any electives and so I have to keep up my involvement through helping on AN and next year I'm going to tutor

I miss other subjects to a degree, but some of those it's just because I had great teachers.
But like, you have to differentiate between what you really want to do, and what you're interested in. For me, I absolutely loved revs - best subject I ever did at school. But, I feel this calling to physio - it's what I want to do "when I grow up" so to speak. Whilst I'm interested in other stuff, I ultimately want to be a physio, and that's the most important thing to me.
Plus, uni's just the next chapter - it's not necessarily a bad thing to be doing new stuff, even if you enjoyed the old stuff.
Some courses will let you take electives, but often with health science courses they're pretty full on so you don't necessarily get the freedom to do electives. You just have to follow your interests outside of uni - reading stuff, watching videos, etc. - or else you can do something like tutor or help out on AN!
