Anyone from Industrial Design who can help me out?

Hey all, so after struggling through to pass exams in Engineering for few semesters due to various reasons, I am finally considering about a course transfer: from Engineering to Design. I come from a Mechanical Engineering background and the design aspect of it really interests me. I have researched a lot about the Design course but I need to find out first hand experience from people who study Industrial Design at Monash. I am specifically looking to find out about

1. How's the course workload and the assessments are like?
2. The likes/dislikes about the course/facilities/lecturers?
3  How's the student community in the course?
4. Future job prospects?

Any input on changing careers from Engineering to Industrial Design are also more than welcome. 
This would also help anyone else who is also considering to apply to this course. 
I would really appreciate this.

Hi there, I'm not sure whether there's many people doing Industrial Design around on the forums

For workload - you can always look at the units in the Unit Handbook to get a rough idea of contact hours, assignments, etc.

You could also maybe see if ask.monash can give you any answers?
Might also be worth it to post some of your questions in Monash Stalkerspace on Facebook.
