Hello,
I dont see the difference between Biomedicine and Science if you want to study Doctor of medicine at Melbourne.
Unless you get 99.90, dont both degree students have to take GAMSAT and smash GPA/WAM+interview?
And Science students can just do the same majors as Biomedicine students.
And also, Why is Bachelor of Biomed ATAR cutoff so much higher than Science ?
Thanks

Hey, I believe if you obtain an ATAR of 99+ and choose to do biomed, I believe you can bypass the GAMSAT by averaging 75%+ in your exams and coursework - allowing you to get a CSP (or full fee, correct me if I'm wrong) for the Doctor of Medicine course.

Biomed is basically a glorified science degree. If you don’t care about status or prestige, you’d be better off doing science as it’s easier to get a higher GPA, a key component for entry into the Melbourne MD.

You get a FFP not a CSP, which is fairly undesirable for getting internships after the MD from what I’ve heard.
