Christmas is just a few days away now, so what are your Christmas traditions?
Admittedly, we don’t have very many. Christmas for us usually involves opening presents with Mum and I in the morning, and then going to my grandparents from mid-morning onwards. We usually past the time chatting. Lunch is usually chicken or turkey, roast vegetables, and gravy. After this, we usually go for a stroll, followed by afternoon tea, which usually consists of fruit mince pies, or pudding.
Of course, we also watch the annual Christmas carols on TV, and Christmas movies, and listen to carols in the lead up to Christmas.
This year is a little different. I’m cooking Christmas lunch for Mum and I this year, and later we’re meeting with the family for afternoon tea.
Lead-up wise, we’ve been doing the usual; Christmas shopping, watching the annual Christmas carols on TV, etc. We haven’t cracked out the Christmas movies yet, I think we’ll save those for Christmas eve and Christmas day. We’ve already been indulging in mince pies, and Christmas eve, we’re planning to go out for some Christmas cake. I’m also planning to make homemade hot chocolate to drink while we watch some Christmas movies.
I think, despite it being Summer, I just like making Christmas as cosy as possible.
