Hello 2018 Year Twelves!

 
I have recently finished Year Twelve at a Melbourne private school and am offering VCE English tutoring over the Christmas break and in 2018.

 

About Me:

 

·      In 2017 I obtained full marks on the oral, language analysis, and Frankenstein essay SACs and close to full marks on the other two.



·      Towards the end of the year my practice essays were marked as being in the 9/10 category.



·      My work has been distributed to the class as an example



·      In 2017 I received a raw 45 for English (placing me in the top 2% of students) and an ATAR of 99.00 (placing me in the top 1% of all VCE students)

 

I will be offering my tutoring for $40 per hour (private lessons) and $30 for a group of 2-3. Tutoring will be at Wheeler’s Hill library during the week and on Satudays and Monash Clayton on Sunday afternoons. At the moment I will only be tutoring Rear Window, Frankenstein, Year of Wonders and The Crucible, the Oral, general essay/exam strategies and obviously Language Analysis.

 

What I can offer you:

 

·      As I have just finished Year Twelve I have recently done what you are about to embark upon in English.



·      I have kept all my personal notes from Year Twelve as well as TSFX, class resources and published company guides which you can draw upon.



·      I have personal resources to help you and from which you can model your own material from, such as organized quotes sheets and easy to follow guides on how to actually write an essay and structure it correctly.



·      I can help you to expand your vocabulary from essay examples and word banks specific to each text.



·      I can show you what is required for an exceptional response with access to essays written for SACs that I have done and had marked as well as practice pieces, paragraphs and the like.



My main goal is to give you the skills and confidence to both enjoy English and succeed in it, whether it be knowing how to memorise quotes easily, presenting an oral, or writing an essay.
