I started drinking coffee once a week since I was like..... 7 lol. I only started drinking coffee on a regular basis around the end of year 7, so a couple months ago. I got into it because I got this super cool milk frother and it makes the coffee really creamy ;D

It was a dark and stormy night when I had my first sip of the unholy drink. I remember it as if it was yesterday. I was staying up late with a few friends for our Year 9 math project, and there was still so much to do on my part. The clock struck midnight and my eyelids were becoming heavier...and heavier...and I found myself dozing off every few minutes. 'It's due tomorrow!' I thought to myself, hoping that the reminder will shake me awake. But my efforts were futile and it seemed as if all hope was lost...

...until it occurred to me. Wasn't there coffee in the pantry?

Doubts plagued my mind, yet the seconds ticked by. 'It would only be one cup, right?' I nodded. 'Yes, only one cup. Never again will I stay up this late and never will I be addicted to coffee.'

How naive my Year 9 self was.

tl;dr I stayed up till 4AM after having my very first cup of latte, did surprisingly well on the project and am now quite coffee-addicted.

Once I had a sip of coffee and totally hated it. From that day on to the present, I have never started drinking coffee. Though I may when I grow up  ::)

I was very similar - I had some at a young age and it tasted terrible. I think it's more about trying to figure out what coffee you like and what 'your order' is (e.g. any sugar? black/white etc). It took me a while, but you get used to it.

I never drink coffee.

I only have it when I'm tired at work or if I'm tired before driving home (not really best practice) ahaha.

I was drinking coffee in my first year of uni purely for the reason of caffeine, and I'd only had a few of the sachet coffee things in year 12 for late nights (convinced I was only kept awake due to placebo effect - very low caffeine levels on those things I later found out). Then in 2017 I went to Italy and had really strong coffee every day - espressos and machiatos. So when I came back, I had that EXCEPT ALSO the luxury of milk, frothing, syrups, etc...

I started last year, only 2-3 coffees a week, but I wish I could have more. I love coffee, but I do understand my parents opinion that it could be very bad for me.

super young. probably like grade 4 or 5 when some relatives were drinking greek/turkish coffee and i dipped biscuits in it and thought it was awesome, then I would start asking for it more often and drinking it. coffee doesn't really keep me awake but I really enjoy the taste so I have it pretty often. for some reason I have always associated it as being a night time drink more than a morning one because when I was younger I would always have it with biscuits in the evening. The first time my parents saw me put in coffee instead of hot chocolate they thought I was crazy and they let me do it cos they thought I would regret it and learn my lesson but I slept like an hour and a half later at my usual bed time and they gave up their protests. For me coffee basically substituted for hot chocolate. brekky is vegemite toast and orange juice and post-dinner snacks while watching netflix is coffee and scotch fingers.

When I have coffee it's usually social (eg. when camping with a group and everyone has their morning coffee). I intentionally don't have coffee regularly and refuse to have it after 2pm despite the fact that it doesn't seem to keep me awake (to avoid interference in sleep quality).

I started to drink coffee when I was in Year 9- I always heard that coffee can keep you up so I drank coffee thinking that it could stop me from falling asleep in class- boy was I wrong because I fault like going to the bathroom every 10 minutes. These days, I drink coffee at least four times a week not for the fact it keeps me up but because I love the taste of coffee; I'm not a huge fan of sweet things but coffee has this balance between sweet and bitter, hence my fondness for coffee :)

Hi...

I started liking coffee a bit over a year ago after tasting a barista-made coffee from our school  machine - soooo much better than instant! I became a regular coffee drinker pretty quickly. These days, I limit myself to one a day - from the pod machine with my breakfast. After that, occasionally I might have a decaf later in the day. I like to think that decaf is healthier because no caffeine= no dehydrating effect? I have no idea if this is true, but it is my excuse to drink more coffee... ;D

My mum doesn't like coffe and never let me drink it so I had a few tastes here and there out of rebellion but I think the first time I actually remember getting myself full mugs of it was in year 11 when we went on a cruise for my grandfather's 70th. Can't really stop me when there's easy acsess to coffee machines onboard!

I've never had a sip of coffee! The closest I've got to drinking it is dipping a biscuit in my mums mug  :o
