Requiresments for 40(raw) study score

Hey guys,

I know this sounds weak, but I've averaging in the low As to High B+ for my SACs however this recent SAC and final SAC really ravaged my average and eventhough I don't know my mark, I fear I've lost any chance of getting close to 40 for my study score.Have I lost all chances? Is it still possible to get a 40 with a B-B+ average in Specialist. Our SACs aren't easy, and the last SAC was an hour long with 5 Extended response questions..

How strong is your cohort?

If pretty strong, I'd say it'd come down to the exam and what you get there. If you really blitz the exam I think 40 raw is possible.

Thanks for the reply  :).We're pretty decent in my opinion, however I think the whole class was shaken after that SAC, plus I can't really tell because I have yet to see in detail what other school standards are as the only time where I can really discuss SACs and subject standards is during tuition. Would a 37-30 be possible?

Do you mean 37-40? [Just thought a bit weird 37 to a lower score :P]
But yes I'd say 37-40 is definitely possible, do well on the exam and I'm sure you should be able to achieve that.

Does it make a difference as to how hard school SACs are (as long as you own the exam)? I mean, my school hasn't got the hardest sacs compared to other schools but we've got a pretty strong cohort (a thrid are at least)...so we get good marks in sacs. But does that mean if many don't do good on the exam my study score will be affected (assuming I A+ the exam)? As in is it still possible to get a 35-40?
When I get sad, I stop being sad, and be AWESOME instead. True story.

If you do well in your exams a 40 is possible (remember a 40 in specialist maths is quite the accomplishment - our school's highest study score for specialist maths last year was 37 - we must have been a weak group :( ). In specialist maths a heap of SAC's ravaged my SAC average. In methods I got a C+ for a probability SAC (It has made me fear doing any university probability) and still got a 39.

The best person to ask is your specialist maths teacher what last year's highest study score was and where you curently fit. Methods annoyed me though because they were like based on your SAC's you should end up with a 35. But really SAC's account for nothing.
