Bump! ;D One semester in, what's changed? How are you feeling now?

I don't feel as nervous compared to the first weeks of uni. A lot of doubts about myself have been washed away as I was able to learn alot about myself and grow as a person during semester one. And- I managed to make some friends, woohoo!
Which will hold greater rule over you? Your fear or your curiosity?

nice!

Wow haven't gone on atarnotes in agesss and so much has happened!!!

I did end up going on law camp (which I was debating in my earlier post here) and it was extremely fun and I met so many people. I also decided to run for the LSS committee and actually got elected :) so I get to go on law camp again next year as a cabin parent which I am super excited about. Law camp is actually where I met my first close uni friend from being in a cabin together. There are a multitude of social events at uni, so I attended the first year law dinner, as well as law ball, booze cruise, and the end of exams party sem 1, and had a great time at each event - would highly recommend getting as involved as possible to any future first years reading this!!

In comparison to highschool I'd say uni is definitely more challenging academically. However, socially, I've found it quite liberating. At highschool I only hung out with a small group of friends or an extended friend group, but ever since coming to uni I've found it much easier to talk to new people and have made so many friends. Highschool is very closed in, in terms of who you speak to and hang out with as everyone is from the same location and social circles are pretty well established making it hard to branch out of your own circle. But at uni there are so many different kinds of people, it's so interesting! Although there are friendship groups they are generally easy to change between as they are not as well established, and most people are pretty nice and easygoing. You're able to have multiple friendship groups and not feel restricted by any labels like anyone being more "popular" or anything. I've also found that I'm able to hang out with my highschool friends still as well as new uni friends, and have even mixed the two groups together  ;D

So, that's my take on uni at the end of semester 2 of my first year! Hope this bumps the post so I can see the thoughts of other first years

With UNSW going back tomorrow, how's everybody feeling with either starting or going back to uni?

I'm a lot less nervous then last year, especially because I know where all my classes are/who will be in them. I've been starting to feel really bored of the holidays so I'm definitely ready to go back to uni and learn more. :D
