Hi guys, i was wondering if my results in chinese breadth contributes to my overall wam if i am doing bachelor of biomed? I know on the website it says something along the lines of relevant breadth subjects contributing to wam score, so would chinese happen to be relevant in the case of biomed?

Breadth subjects will contribute the WAM and GPA. Some graduate programs don't take into account the full WAM, they may only look at your best 4 3rd year major subjects to determine if you get a place or not.

Do you know how much it contributes exactly - percentage? Surely less than core subjects haha
thanks!

Complete contribution as if it were any other unit you're taking, in other words, as much as your core units.

Not sure if Melbourne does this, but at Monash, level 1 units only weighted 50% in the whole calculation compared to level 2 and above units. It only becomes evident when having completed at least 1 level 2 or higher unit.

You might want to check this link out, the WAM calculation is explained quite thoroughly.
