Monash Essay Resubmissions

I need help asap! I am currently doing a Summer A subject at Monash, "Life, Death and Morality", and I have been averaging 90% for every assignment. Although, on the most recent essay, I scored 68% and I am terrified because it would ruin my average. However, I am allowed to resubmit it since I nominated Distinction as my target mark and missed it. My question is: if I resubmit, would the highest mark that I could achieve be Distinction or is there no limit? This is a resubmission so I am unsure... I really need at least 80%. I fcked up.. Any insight would be great. Yes, I have emailed the tutors but they haven't replied and I am currently going insane.

I haven't done that subject but have asked for my work to be remarked multiple times throughout first year but never had to give a "target mark". By re-submission is this a new piece of work or the same one which got 68%? One time the unit coordinator just said "i'll have a look at it" and ended up giving me a higher mark however another was a little more strict and was tight with protocol who said that my mark can go up or down but whatever happens that is the final mark. Thankfully it went up ~15%.

Resubmitting a distance philosophy task means a new piece of work is marked anew. Absolutely do not submit the same thing.

Write something much better, then submit that. There’s a good chance you can get past the 80 mark :)
✌️just do what makes you happy ✌️
