I’m stressed about business

Hii,
This is probably a silly thing to post about but I’m really stressed about it. Last year, out of all my teachers I realised my business studies teacher was amazing. In terms of teaching, giving feedback, etc everything was great. Business quickly became my strongest subject and across year 11 and the first term of year 12 I never got below 90% in an exam/assessment. However, my teacher left and now I have a new teacher who... I don’t know another way to say it... cannot teach. At all. I don’t mean to criticise her so I won’t get into details but not only does she not know the content, when I enquired about her plans for our class she said we’d be okay because she’s relying on her neices “band 4 notes!”, (also I saw an ATARNotes book on her desk but STILL).

I’m a little shocked and have extreme anxiety over the fact that I have a teacher from whom nobody in my class has learnt anything yet, and who seems as clueless (if not more) as we are regarding the Finance topic. And I know business is a content-based subject and I can study it myself but I feel as if this is putting unfair extra pressure and stress upon my class and I don’t know who to talk to or what I should do. I’m panicking.

I had a teacher simular to this except there are no legit recources out there for multimedia. My so,union isn't perfect though as she never changed and I ended up dropping the class, but here's what I did, maybe your teachers will be less stubborn.
- talk to her about what you think of the class
- get parents to step in if needed
- use class time for independent learning and study
- talk to head teachers and principals about the problem
- get another teacher who knows the subject to give the class secret lessons
And something I didn't do - maybe get a tutor?

It really is a tough situation and I really hope it all works out for you  :)
HSC 2017: Advanced English [85] General Maths [92] Biology [96] Geography [92] Drama [86]

2018: Bachelor of Arts and Advanced Studies at University of Sydney

-- need a tutor for any of the subjects listed above?? I reckon I'm the girl! Just message me on ATAR notes or here--

Hey! Just want to emphasise what Taylor has already said, please raise this with the appropriate authority at your school. Even if its anonymous, just make sure they are aware there's an issue!! :)
