1 day timetable with just two hours of compulsory classes! The joys of only having to do 2 units a semester this year to graduate. Going to basically be a year long holiday.

Do you guys suggest enrolling in video streamed lectures or attending the ones on campus ?
I only have a BIO1011 lecture on a Monday 10am  so I’ve enrolled in the on campus one so I can work after. However I might not always be rostered a couple of hours after my lecture finishes so I might have to stay at the library before going to work.
The video streamed version enables me to stay at home until work but I’m not sure if I’ll focus better in comparison to actually going to the lecture.

Entirely depends on the person. You could try going to the lecture in the first week, and then try watching it online to see if you find a difference in learning ability?

Like, I personally learned better not watching the lectures at all in most cases. Everybody is different, so.

to add onto keltingmeith's assitance, for units where lecture attendance is not compuslory the lecture stream or timeslot means nothing and you can choose whichever stream you would like even without officially enrolling in them.

Also even if you aren't enrolled in the video stream lecture the recordings of lectures are still avalaible.

Hi guys, I'm wondering if we can eat lunches in seminars? I have back to back classes for 4 hours straight and I can't function without food :)

Depends on the person running it- I had 3-4 lectures back to back at one point last semester and I also don't function without food, and they often let us eat (as long as it wasn't something in a noisy packet or pungent haha). :) (Given that there's typically a ten minute break between classes as well iirc) :)

Thank you! Did you ask your lecturer first? I don't want to be rude to my lecturer.

I did haha (considering my cohort is really small), but some of my lecturers also stated at the start of their series if we were/weren't allowed to eat haha :)
(Actually once we all walked out for free food halfway through a double lecture. That was fun )

Tbh, most lecturers don't care if it's something not noisy or smelly (fresh fruit is a big okay, if you're into that). You can do the same in exams, too, if you really want.

Typically, it's safe to assume it's okay, every lecturer I've had has had someone eating in their class at one point or another, and none of them have ever even batted an eye about it.

Hey guys! I chose to do my psychology units in the off-campus setting and currently on my timetable, I only have a timeslot for consultation. Does this mean I don't have lectures or tutorials, or if not, where do I find them?

Is it the off-campus or flexible setting? I know PSY1011/1022 are now being offered as flexible for this year, and off-campus can only be taken in the summer semester.

Flexible units do not list the lecture time on your allocate, and will usually give you a link to access the recorded lectures after they've been uploaded. You can find out what time the lecture happens by going to allocate, and searching the unit in the bottom left.

The intro Psychology units only have a lecture and a consultation (which is basically the tutorial). In choosing the flexible mode of study, they appear to be giving you a choice if you would like to go to your consultations, which is why they set you a time slot (and probably because this way, it's easier to assign you a tutor who marks your work).

Hi, I'm just wondering whether live streamed classes must be watch as they are streamed, or if they can be viewed later. Thanks.

The streamed class can be watched in a lecture theatre live although you can still go to the actual lecture (even if not allocated to that) unless they mark attendance.

Also if you want generally all the lectures will be recorded so you can stream it from home at any time during the semester after the lecture.
