Wait, so uni students have diaries?

do you use them a lot?
yeah we do. Nope, they're not compulsory, @ Monash anyway. They have lots of extra stuff like writing your budget, maps of every campus, tips, place to rite ur study timetable, etc etc.

But I was shocked as well. I haven;t seen anyone that I know use them, but if they didnt sell they wouldn't produce i guess.

There's a stack of Melbourne and Monash diaries at my house and they're all empty apart from irrelevant scribbles in the first few pages lol.

Mine's covered in chemicals. I used it in labs as a place-mat for my pencilcase. Handy thickness and the cover's slightly corroded too.

I don't have my diary anymore, but for first semester I used the map to help navigate myself.

The first looks like something I would have scribbled in 5 mins

The second just looks too girly

The third looks good

The fourth looks like the VTAC cover or like those weird DEAKIN uni trams.

In my first few weeks I used the diary but after that I could not be bothered using it.

I use my diary!

At the start of each semester, I go through all my unit outlines and work out when I've got stuff due, then I make a list near the start of my diary in order of due date.
It's helps me to see when I'm going to have a whole bunch of stuff due at once that I'll need to plan ahead for and such.
There's a column where I can tick each thing off once it's done, and a column where I can write in my marks later on when I get them.

Oh, I voted for Menzies... I don't find great favour with any of them though...

Lol.

You know... if there was something insightful or interesting written in the text for the Sir John Monash one, then maybe I would have voted for it... >.>

I don't think the zipper crest looks girly. I think it looks like ed hardy stuff (which I hate!!!)

WTH with the balck line one =.=* It looks like sometihng hot burned the paper like a grill or something (no offence to the artist, I'm sure they have a lot more artistic talent than myself)

The Menzies one (4th i presume) does look a lot like the VTAC ones, nothing wrong with that necessarily, even the current 2009 diaries has the same "feel" to it (inside the actual diary)

The 3rd one I don't get it. It seems to appeal more to girls/women? A bird...key...sky? Is it like dream large or sometihng? Or was that Melb. Uni's slogan =.=* HOWEVER, the clouds look realistic, and the designer is artistic.

The face of Sir John Monash I presume in the text is wow, wow, wow. I would vote for that one! It looks good, and its smart how the text is about University courses like Medicine, Engineering etc.

Art is art, and I guess all of them are good in their own way except the 1st one, WTH man.
