Law Exam Question

So I'm kinda new to this whole one  law exam being worth 80% of my overall mark thing.

Even though I'm a second year I've only done two law units in my first year for various reasons. I've done okay in them but okay isn't going to cut it with this job market.

I struggled to write up a law essay examiners really liked and I've yet to nail down what they're looking for.

Does anyone have a template of what to include in all essays as well as how to structure it properly.

I'm usually good at writing English essays but Law is new territory for me.

I also wonder where can I get feedback for any practice essays I can do before the actual ones. We didn't do them in tutorials. Could I ask my lecturer or classroom tutor to mark them? Or are they too busy?

Also is there a place on these forums I can submit law essays to be marked whenever people have the page wtjne I would be extremely grateful.
 Thank you for reading.

Practise essays? Probably not. You might be able to see your tutor with an essay plan instead though.

What are you struggling with in particular? Your tutor should probably be your first point of contact. If you haven’t already, I’d recommend making an appointment with them and going over your old essays, etc. Ask them where you’re going wrong, and what you need to improve on in order to go from X grade to X grade.

Thanks just to clarify at Monash the seminar teacher is called a tutor would it be part of their job to mark and give feedback on practice essays?

I'm not sure what I've struggled with as I didn't get any feedback on exam results so not too sure what want wrong i would like to get a top notch essay to review and see what they're looking for or at least prior feedback.

Uni is so different to school in that regard.

Yes, I know what a tutor is. If you didn’t already know, I’m also a student at Monash. I imagine it’s a bit of a grey area, if it’s a practise essay based on an upcoming assignment, I’d say definitely not. If you’re looking to write a practise essay on a past essay question, then maybe. Your best bet is to contact your tutor and take it from there.

You can apply to receive a copy of your exam script. You might want to take a look at the procedure here.

Cheers coffee

I'll see what they say I think Law exam writing is something that comes with practice so hopefully some tutors eoudijt mind marking a few practice essays.

We don't really get assignments for Law it's just one big exam usually at the end worth the vast majority of our grade.
