Winner Announced - February 2018 MotM Awards
« on: February 26, 2018, 11:11:16 am »

See the announcement here!

Will be announced in the coming days. :)

For those who don't know, each month we recognise the contributions of some of our most helpful forum members: one from Victoria, and one from New South Wales. Last year, we had an amazing group of members recognised:

PAST NSW WINNERS:
Spoiler
2017: kiwiberry (inaugural), rodero, sssona09, MisterNeo, Wales, dancing phalanges, Opengangs, fantasticbeasts3, blasonduo, Potatohater, Mada438.

PAST VIC WINNERS:
Spoiler
2017: Shadowxo (inaugural), Syndicate, cookiedream, Quantum44, zhen, VanillaRice, GalacticProcess, miniturtle, clarke54321, AngelWings, PhoenixxFire.

Those members above - and, of course, very many others (we can only give so many MotM awards!) made 2017 what it was. This year, we're continuing to recognise quality and meaningful contributions to the ATAR Notes community.

So - who's going to win the February awards? ;D

Arrgghh I hate these posts that tell you something is happening but you have no idea when. It means I'm constantly checking AN, and continually wondering what particular time frame "in the current days" encompasses.

Time for the announcement!! This is the one year anniversary of the MotM awards, and it is getting harder and harder to choose winners - We certainly have no shortage of incredible members!! We want to recognise as many great contributions as possible.

Starting now, in addition to MotM, we'll be highlighting some of the best posts on the forum from the previous month - PotM!! Better names welcome ;) these posts have been recognised by your moderator team and collated, all well worthy of +1's if you feel generous. Almost certainly some will be missed - I encourage everyone to link to other great posts that aren't on the list!

Here we go...

OUR NSW WINNER FOR FEBRUARY:
Spoiler
Our NSW winner this month is kauac. With ~30 posts to their name this month, kauac has engaged with a number of boards, namely the HSC English Advanced board and HSC 2U board. They have also made some fantastic contributions in their HSC Journey Journal, which you can find here. A personal favourite excerpt:

Quote
Ooh, and I had a 'last' photo day last week.
Spoiler
It was really funny because I didn't know we had a year 12 muck up photo until we got to school. So, because there are only two of us in year 12 (yep, mind-blowing!), we went into the principal's office and did a reverse role photo. Our teachers and principal pretended to be scared students, and we pretended to be the teachers and sat behind the desk and 'yelled' at them.
Hopefully the photo will turn out well!

Well done, kauac - we look forward to you continuing your HSC journey with us! ;D

OUR VIC WINNER FOR FEBRUARY:
Spoiler
Our VIC winner this month is Marvin K. Mooney. Realistically, Marvin K. Mooney could have snapped up a Member of the Month award on any number of occasions previously, and has been unlucky not to do so. Their enthusiasm and passion for ATAR Notes is clear; they have contributed 147 posts this month alone. We love how Marvin K. Mooney is getting involved across the entire forums, and hope to see it continue in the future. Well done, Marvin K. Mooney! ;D

Yes, congratulations, you guys!
You both really deserve it.

(PS: I also called it - @Adam, does this mean we are both psychic?  :P )

Thanks everyone!!  :D Especially to those who have answered my convoluted questions, and have persevered through my long journal entries haha! I am keen to explore the boards for my other subjects - bio and food tech - soon when I get up to the HSC content next term.

Also, big congrats to Marvin K. Mooney! I always seem to find your name on the recent posts list, and you have been a massive benefit to the AN community!  ;D
