I'm about to do a Student Designed Investigation where we make algal balls, place them in hydrogen carbonate indicator solution and record the change of colour in relation to pH changes caused by the CO2.

I would just like to know how other people have designed this experiment.

Thanks!

Hey KaleidoKitty,

Welcome to ATAR Notes! ;D I've just moved your thread from the New Users' Lounge to the VCE Biology board, where it should get more traction and, hopefully, some higher quality responses. ;)

Unfortunately, I didn't do Bio myself, but I'm sure somebody will be able to help out! ;D

Hey, so I didn't do this particular experiment but here are a few things to consider:
- what are your dependent and independent variables
- whats your hypothesis
- how will you minimise the impact of extraneous variables

Is there anything specific that you're unsure about?
