Strong Vs. Weak Subjects

So like..

Everyone seems to have a strong and weak subject but in my case, I don't have a strong subject or have an area I am good at, and I am pretty weak in the rest of my subjects.
Does it matter if I have a strong and/or a weak subject? Because if I had a weak subject, I could mainly focus on that one subject I'm not doing well in whilst still maintaining my high grades in the strong subject.

I really am nervous for this year and I just want to do exceptionally well.

If you don't like your subjects not too late to change them
Care to say how?

As much as I hate to say it, they're in their HSC year and have 11 units. The only thing they can do is drop SOR.

Hey!
Don't worry about what your good subject and your bad subject too much. If you can immediately identify them, then they're not that obvious.
As you go this year, try not to place too much emphasis on any one subject, try and spend an even amount of time on them all (if that's possible).
You may find as the year progresses, that you discover that some of your subjects are stronger, and some are weaker. That's when you start to redistribute your time.
The key to doing well IMO is to try and be all rounded. That doesn't necessarily mean that none of your subjects will get high marks, its all about consistently doing well in them!
Hope this helps!
Good luck!  :)

If they are all pretty average, which is the impression I've gotten, then you should focus your efforts evenly across all subjects. Don't worry about not having a strong or weak subject, particualrly as the ATAR system favours consistency so just try and make them all consistently good  :)

By dropping SOR?

There's always the option for Catholic Studies. This still abides to the 'mandatory religious subject' rule at religious schools but CS doesn't count towards your ATAR, thus allowing for more study for other subjects. I pretty much used all my catholic studies lessons to do my assignments and study for tests :) But it's all up to the OP.

Which will hold greater rule over you? Your fear or your curiosity?

Ahhh ok, well I didn't go to a religeous school and all the people I know who do act like SOR is compulsory so I didn't know that

Funny (off-topic) story about this. My school put the SOR and Catholic Studies Trial exams in the same room. They were both 1.5 hour exams. We had the usual, "Can't leave in the first half an hour," rule.

Exam started at 9:00. Hits 9:30. Literally every Catholic Studies student stands up and walks out at once. The SOR students cacked themselves laughing at how in sync it was ;D
