English Advanced Half Yearly Essay Plan

Hey there,
I'm not really submitting an essay, but more like an essay plan. It would be great if I were to receive some feedback on my essay plans on AOS and Module B so I can start practice writing out my essays. Note that some of my analyses are the same since I would like to ensure my evidence fits under both questions- I think it's my thesis that's different.

Thanks in advance :)

Hey! I took a read of your Discovery ones since I don't feel familiar enough with Yeats to be authoritative on just a plan, buuuut:

- I like your concepts per paragraph, and your Thesis statements. Feels like they are direct and logically arranged, nice!
- The only thing with your concepts, and more your evidence, you've structured it heavily around characters. This is totally cool, but make sure when you write that you don't slip into retell or character descriptions. Needs to be conceptual! Especially in that second question where the focus is on representations by composers.
- A bit of technique crossover - Multiple motifs in a paragraph, multiple syllabic manipulation in a paragraph, etc. No huge stress, but some more variety there would be great if you want a nitpick!
- Love that you've got essay plans with common evidence, super efficient way to prepare! You could even prepare a bank of half a dozen extra quotes/techniques that aren't necessarily in your plan, but instead just act as a sort of security blanket in case of tricky questions down the line :)

Hey there,
Thanks for the feedback! At this point, would it be more beneficial to jump into writing out my essays with just my plans in front of my (timed I guess?) or type out my essay first and then memorise via rote learning?

Ohohoho don't worry, I have plenty up my sleeve! Just need to memorise a good chunk of them.

I think it's much your preference! You need to memorise it. You need practice writing it under pressure. Whatever achieves those two things is aces ;D
